Christian Educators Association International

On July 19 2003, Dr. Daniel Elliott, Vice Chairman of CEAI wrote:

"If we were truly a Christian nation, as we Christians wish we were (but never were) even then, a mandated devotional curriculum would be a terrible thing-- just look at the history of Israel from the Old Testament."

Any believer can see for themselves the enormity of  that statement in multiple ways. The obedience of God's chosen people in the Old Testament was not "terrible." Kings who tore down false idols throughout their land were not "terrible" in the eyes of any believers that I know.

I long to post so much more of the communication between CEAI and myself, but this is all that God wills to be posted.  Not because it's true, but to show the shifting sand of the leadership of CEAI.

(additionally, God gives us choice. I have never campaigned for "mandated devotional Christian curriculum" ~jen)

"But what do you think? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’ He answered and said, ‘I will not’: but afterward he repented, and went.

And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir’: and went not.

Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to Him, the first. Jesus said to them, ‘Verily I say unto you, that the tax collector and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and you believed him not; but the tax collectors and the harlots believed him: and you, when you had seen it, repented not afterward, that you might believe him." (Matt 21:28-32)
