American Muslim Council
Abdurahman Alamoudi, Hillary Clinton's friend and
advisor on Islamic affairs, founder of the American Muslim Council
which helped draft Clinton's "Religious Expression in Public School"
was arrested in September for illegally receiving funds from Libya.
Washington Post and MSNBC: "U.S. officials suspect him of more sinister
intentions. They said Alamoudi cultivated a moderate image that masks
support for a radical agenda he long privately espoused. They point to
his contacts with people the United Stats has designated terrorist
sponsors, a statement of support for a 1994 terrorist attack and his
association with groups suspected of funneling money to terrorists.
They also question the destination of millions of dollars that passed
through his personal bank accounts."

"Formed as a
tax-exempt lobbying organization in 1990, the American Muslim Council
gained widespread notoriety in October 2000, when Abdurahman Alamoudi,
its founder and former executive director, said the following at an
anti-Israel rally: "I have been labeled by the media in New York as
being a supporter of Hamas … We are all supporters of Hamas. I wish
they added that I am also a supporter of Hezbollah."
Alamoudi's
relationship with radical Islam didn't end in October 2000. According
to the Associated Press, Alamoudi met with representatives of Hamas,
Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and al Qaeda in Beirut in January 2001.
Under
Alamoudi's leadership, the American Muslim Council operated as an
umbrella organization for a group called "American Muslims for
Jerusalem," which Emerson says "routinely invokes 'Zionist'
conspiracies and has featured calls at its conferences for the killing
of Jews." The AMC also served as the headquarters for the United
States office of the Islamic Salvation Front, a militant group with
ties to the global terrorist network."

MSNBC:
FEDERAL PROSECUTORS HAVE indicted the founder of the Islamic chaplain
program on charges he illegally dealt with Libya and laundered money.
But there are even more serious allegations about him in some new
documents.
Abdurahman Alamoudi, a consultant to the
Pentagon on the chaplain program for more than a decade, is now
accused of helping Osama bin Laden and Hamas.
Court documents filed late Wednesday night
claim Alamoudi has provided “financial support to Hamas” and
“financial support to fronts for al-Qaida.”
One of the groups allegedly tied to Alamoudi
is a charity that gave a Virginia post office as its address. Alamoudi
was the charity’s vice president. Who founded it? Abdullah bin Laden,
Osama bin Laden’s nephew.
Also ringing alarms: Alamoudi’s Palm Pilot,
which the government claims included the names and numbers of six
designated global terrorists.
